Stephanie Kolb
Take Stock Development Assistant
Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Florida. She met her husband while in college and after graduation stayed in Gainesville while raising two boys, now ages 20 and 24.
After initially teaching in the public schools, she took a step back to be a stay-at-home mom to her boys and focused on becoming active as a parent volunteer through various PTA’s and PTSA’s in the local school district. Volunteering and advocacy have always been a passion and it gave her the opportunity to help students and teachers, as well as serve in multiple leadership and committee positions at the local, county, and state level PTA’s.
As her boys aged, she continued her volunteerism while focusing on child development and Early Childhood Education in a professional capacity. Stephanie holds an advanced-level Director Credential and served as Director of a local childcare center for 14 years. She has earned Volunteer of the Year awards at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. In 2018 she was named the District Volunteer of the Year for the North Florida Region and went on to earn the State Volunteer of the Year award by the Department of Education.
She is currently an active member of the Alachua County Council PTA, Gainesville High School Band Boosters, and Junior League of Gainesville. She hopes to continue to use her non-profit experience and her professional experience to impact students and teachers in the public schools. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, going to Disney, and doing genealogy research.
