Sean Johnson

Sean Johnson began as the Lead College Success Coach in June 2023. Having over 10 years of experience working as a professional in higher education, he took a brief stint away from education to lead a team in the food service industry before returning to the education field(You may have seen him at Maple Street Biscuit Company in Newberry).
Born and Raised in the South Suburbs of Chicago, Sean graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree before moving to Gainesville in 2011.
Sean has worked for years to help educate youth and young adults toward understanding their identity and purpose. He has had the opportunity to speak on topics such as leadership, purpose, community, and vulnerability over the years.
Outside of work, you can catch Sean at local food places, reading a book, drinking an Iced Chai Tea Latte, watching sports, or trying to start up his own business.
