Scott Thomas joined PathPoint Energy LLC as CFO in 2022. PathPoint, founded in 2021, operates in the US wholesale natural gas markets. He moved to Gainesville in 2010 to serve as CFO of Infinite Energy, overseeing finance, risk, regulatory, and facilities functions. Before that, Scott was an investment banker advising major utilities and energy companies on mergers, acquisitions, and financings.
A North Carolina native, Scott holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler and a BS in Mathematics from the US Naval Academy. He is a former nuclear-trained submarine officer. Scott and his wife Dorothy, an active community volunteer, have two children and a rescue dog named Bailey.
