Dr. Sarah Rockwell is a mother, educator, and passionate advocate for disability rights and inclusive education. She holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Special Education from the University of Florida, with expertise in early childhood, reading disabilities, and autism.

With over 20 years of experience in public education, Dr. Rockwell has served as a special education teacher, educational diagnostician, consultant, college instructor, and advisor. She has worked across multiple counties and institutions, always focused on helping children with disabilities thrive.

Committed to community engagement, she serves on the board of First United Methodist Church Preschool, co-leads Education Equity Advocates of Alachua County, and volunteers with PTAs, Girl Scouts, and various advocacy groups. As a mother of two children with disabilities, Dr. Rockwell brings both personal and professional insight to her mission of ensuring all students in Alachua County receive a safe, high-quality education.
