We’re looking to hire an Americorps VISTA!

About Take Stock in Children

Take Stock in Children (TSIC) was established in 1995 as a non-profit in Florida that provides a an opportunity for deserving low-income youth/students to escape the cycle of poverty through education.  The mission of TSIC is to passionately promote personal growth, self-responsibility, and academic success by providing a unique set of resources including mentors, scholarships, long-term support, student advocacy and a guaranteed educational opportunity.

Position Information

VISTA members generally do not provide direct services, such as tutoring children or building homes. Instead, they focus their efforts on building the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of the organizations in which they serve. VISTA members recruited by TSIC will develop programs that build organizational capacity in one or more of the following areas;

  • Volunteer Management (Recruitment, Retention, and Training)
  • Donor Relations/Development
  • Community Awareness

In each case, you’ll be strengthening the Take Stock in Children organization so we can continue to provide scholarships, mentors and hope.

Are you ready to serve?

Interested individuals should e-mail their resumes to Program Director Rachel Debigare at Debigarere@gm.sbac.edu.
